At the ballpark the Dyersville Jurassics were battered 8 to 1 by the Tampico
Stogies.
Tampico scored all of the necessary runs in the 8th inning as they showed no
mercy on Dyersville blasting them for 7 hits and plating 8 runs. The key
at-bat was by Eric Byrnes who deflated the crowd as he quieted the crowd by
clouting a Grand Slam (his 5th of the season). Tampico had 9 hits for the
afternoon while Dyersville had 6.
Jerome Williams(4-13) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Jeff
Suppan(8-5) absorbed the loss. Tampico now has a record of 45-57. With the
loss, the Dyersville ballclub's record is 43-59.
